At Strong Harvest, we believe that real, lasting change begins with knowledge — practical, immediately usable knowledge that empowers people to take control of their own well-being. Instead of having to rely on external aid or ineffective government systems, the individuals we train are directly equipped with the tools they need to improve their lives from the ground up.
Our Approach
By teaching communities about the power of the moringa tree and other sustainable practices, we provide families with the ability to grow their own nutrition, strengthen their health, and create economic opportunities. This grassroots approach ensures that transformation comes from within — driven by local leaders, for local people.
Stories of Impact
In Malawi, Steven transformed his family’s future with the knowledge from Strong Harvest. After learning about moringa’s benefits from our Field Partner Moshi, Steven shifted from cutting down trees for charcoal to planting moringa for food and income. He now runs a moringa tree nursery which helps support his family and has allowed him to invest in livestock. His efforts not only improved his family’s health — marked by better eyesight and overall wellness — but also benefit the environment. Steven’s story is a testament to the power of education and sustainable solutions.

^ Basanti in Hindia, India
Basanti in Hindia Village, India, is 75 years old and has been consuming moringa leaves and powder daily for the past year. She first learned about moringa from our Field Partner Gautam, and she shared that before incorporating moringa into her diet, she suffered from knee pain and low blood pressure. Now, she feels much better and healthier. Her story is a testament to the power of moringa to improve health and well-being.
Pastor Adjakossi, along with some of his church members in Aklakou, Togo, received moringa training last month from our Field Rep Jean and his wife Olga. He shared, “I find this training very fantastic. At the end… I realized that it is an enormous and infinite wealth that we have just been given…This will serve us and the whole nation.” His excitement highlights the immense potential of moringa education in transforming entire communities.

At Strong Harvest, we are grateful for the dedicated individuals who share our mission. This month, we proudly welcome our newest board member, François!

Getting Connected
François was already enjoying moringa tea each day. His connection with Strong Harvest began when our co-founder, Rick, spoke at his Rotary Club.
Inspired by the presentation, François submitted a successful $5,000 grant proposal through his club, and he soon joined our board in December 2024, eager to contribute his passion and expertise.

François is drawn to Strong Harvest because he believes in the transformative power of moringa — a single plant that can enhance health and improve economic sustainability in communities worldwide. François values our commitment to ensuring donations directly support those in need.
What He Loves About Strong Harvest
Having grown up in Ivory Coast, François understands the challenges faced by West African communities, which makes our work especially meaningful to him. As a native French speaker, he also looks forward to contributing his language skills in future engagements. In addition, he appreciates the warm, genuine spirit of the Strong Harvest community.

A Little More About François
Originally from France, François ventured to the U.S. for business school, where he met his wife, Bracy. Their life together took them through France, England, and Germany before they settled in Vancouver, Washington, in 1997. They have raised three daughters — Charlotte, Emilie, and Madeleine — and now have two grandchildren. François’ interests include international affairs, classical music, food and wine, the arts, and travel.
We are thrilled to have François on our board and look forward to the passion and perspective he brings to our mission. Welcome, François!
