Empowering Communities Worldwide

Tanzania

In northern Tanzania, our work continues among the Maasai people. Our Field Rep Laata is a community health officer, and empowers his community in many ways. He does frequent trainings focused on health, nutrition, and the moringa tree.

He also helps groups of Maasai women form and maintain government-approved savings groups which act like microfinance banks for each community. One of the most recently established savings groups is the Naseriana group in the village of Armame, pictured here.

Nicaragua

Our Field Rep in Nicaragua, Lesly, leads many community development projects, and integrates Strong Harvest’s message and methods of empowerment into as many projects as possible.

He recently held Peer Educator trainings for two groups of parents, pictured here, whose children are in the Children of Promise (CoP) programs in Granada and Jinotepe. Thanks to this partnership of CoP and Strong Harvest, through Lesly, these children and their families are receiving the education they need to thrive holistically.

Malawi

It has been thrilling to see how quickly the knowledge of moringa has spread in Malawi, thanks to the effort of our Field Partner, Moshi. The Peer Educators he has trained have begun doing their own trainings and home visits, as well as establishing moringa tree nurseries.
